Hello, all,

I've been away for the last few weeks (working in Chicago for a while, still without a precise date to fly back home), but always missing the news from this site.
Today, however, I needed to come here to ask for your positive vibes, good thoughts and prayers towards TowandaBR (aka Simone, member of this board, from Brazil).

She was diagnosed earlier today with an aneurysm on her carotid arthery, close to the ophtalmic segment. The doctor strongly recommended she passes ASAP through an endovascular surgery that in layman's terms would be inserting a tiny spring into the aneurysm to prevent it from growing and reducing the chances of it bursting.

If all goes well, she shall go through that surgery next Tuesday (April, 8th), in Brazil. So, having learned from wonderful past experiences how generous and kind people from the Treehouse always are with their other members, I'm here to ask you to send your positive thoughts, good vibes and prayers towands TowandaBR, for a successful surgery and a quick recovery!

Thanks in advance to you all, as I know how powerful the good vibes from the Treehouse always are!

I will keep you posted as soon as I receive more news (it's being a bit disruptive for me not being in Brazil at the moment to get news as fast as I wanted, but we will manage and as soon as I get news from her family after the surgery I will pass them along in this thread).

Cris... thank you for the information. I haven't heard from Simone in a while (up on myspace) and wondered if all was well. So very glad this aneurysm was found and can be corrected. Simone is so very special...to me ..... Simone is now part of my Prayer Circle.

Hi, all!

Thanks for all your positive thoughts & vibes, prayers and kind messages to Simone (TowandaBR). I've just talked to her over the phone to transmit them to her.

She just provided me with an update: the doctors want one additional exam before the surgery. Thus, the exam is scheduled for Wednesday, aiming to precisely locate the aneurysm plus precisely outline it's size and shape, so the endovascular surgery can be planned accordingly. According to the doctors, immediately after the exam they will be able to define the date of the surgery, potentially still this week since speed now is a key.

I will post any news I have after the exam on this thread!
