Love it!
All the best series have a JTR episode after all.
Some really good M&R scenes too _________________ Seek Peace

Love the M/R bits and the rest of the eps, but after watching it again, recently I have to wonder...
If Roxton really didn't trust the inspector, why the FRELL did he accept the mug of tea from him? I know plot wise why it was done, but really Roxton, you just told the man you didn't trust him and yet you took the tea from him. Not too bright sometimes my dear.
I just love the bit when Marguerite catches on that the inspector is up to no good and she pistol whips his eema. Dude...I coulda told ya not to mess with her...or her man. _________________ I like corny. I'm looking for corny in my life. - Iris - The Holiday

I would guess that Roxton underestimated the Inspector. I think his lack of trust had more to do with thinking Gull was manipulating Marguerite, using that bumbling helplessness act to attract her. Being suspicious of a man you think is coming on to your woman is a far cry from thinking he's going to poison your tea and leave you to drown.
The actor underplayed that role beautifully; he certainly fooled me. And Roxton. And Marguerite.

Hello.....Roxton without a shirt on the beach....NIRVANA!!
Margarite was hysterical to watch when she got ticked off....ladies, take a lesson in self defense from this chic. She's lethal!!!
And the flashbacks....marvelous, I abosolutely loved them. And Margurite's dress...and her accent and Roxton's bowler and Veronica...what a hoot!!!

You could be right. Either way...Roxton lost out for a while for acting like a child. But hey...they made up in the end...and in my world, that's all that matters...the making up. _________________ I like corny. I'm looking for corny in my life. - Iris - The Holiday

I did, I don't know if it was this episode, but there is one where she is practically glowing when the light hits her. _________________ Seek Peace

I think you mean, tint as in color. tent is something one uses when camping. I think Marguerite would find a red tent in her hair a bit annoying.
Yeah off and on through out the 3rd season you could see a bit of red in her hair. Some women with dark brown hair do have red highlights. _________________ I like corny. I'm looking for corny in my life. - Iris - The Holiday

I'm blondish and have a natural red tint to my hair; my Aunt on my Dad's side was a redhead.
By the way, in case I have not said it enough -- I now own the dress Mary Kelly/Rachel Blakely wore in this episode. It's in my closet and one day, when I find the right mannequin, it will be displayed in my office/craft room -- along with a GREAT photo I acquired of Rachel as Mary Kelly.
One fine day ... _________________

That's great! Actually, from where do you have the dress?

Rachel kept the dress and donated it to one of our TLW charity auctions. I bid on it and won! I couldn't believe it.
She also wrote a very nice little note to go with it. The funy part, and she mentioned it in the note, is that the hem of the gown is dirty, having picked up the mud and dust of the area they were working in at the time of filming. I know I should probably send it out to be cleaned but I haven't. I just keep thinking that that grime was done in the making of the episode. It's a part of TLW history! _________________
