I'm going home to NY tomorrow morning! Just me and the boys, can't wait. I am in such a funk before I go, so anxious. It's only for 3 weeks and even before I go I know I am on borrowed time when there. I just hate the idea of having to say goodbye all over again at the end of it. I'm sure I will relax once there and cocktail in hand. Pizza, bagels, and martinis are all on order. And, big hugs for my mom and brother and his family. I hope to log on while there, but a house full of teenagers, pitchers full of margharitas and arms full of family may make it difficult.
Take care everyone and hope I don't miss too much.

thanks guys! It's a very long 7 1/2 hour flight made to feel even longer with a 5 and 7 yr old climbing up the walls. I bought 2 new games for their DS's to spring on them when the going gets tough, which should be about 10 minutes after take off. Have mercy on me. Just a bit more stress added to it all, there was some glitch with the radar at dublin airport tonight and tons of flights were either delayed or out right cancelled.
Finger crossed everyone that it's fixed by the morning. I need to go home, it's been raining here for 3 weeks straight! Not kidding!
Off to bed, have to wake up at an un-godly hour to get to the airport in rush hour traffic.
Take care folks! _________________ I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass.

We're back. I'm still on NY time and in a fog for days now. I tell you, it gets harder and harder to leave each time. I think I'm more homesick than before I left!
And, to top it all off, it was cold and raining for a couple of weeks when we left here and we returned right to it. So hard to cheer up in all the gloom. I am so depressed I have barely eaten or slept since Sunday. I went from wet and 60o to sun and 90o, then back to wet and 60o. The boys cryed to me to turn on the heat this morning!
We did have a brilliant time. We got to go to the museum of natural history in NYC and a show in the planetarium there, fabulous, especially with Robert Redford as the narrator. All the ladies just sat back and said, "ahhh". Didn't even notice all the stars and planets colliding all over the place. Even got a chance to have a run about in central park.
We did lots of kids' stuff, amusement & water parks, zoos, walks, dips in the pool, Jersey Shore, etc. We just missed the BBC walking with dino tour at Madison Square Garden, it started the day we were leaving. At least they got their fill of dinos at the museum.
Missed having a chat on the board with y'all. Would post pics but am useless at it. So if you can just close you eyes and picture two little pale boys splashing in a pool, chasing the ice cream man down the street and catching lightning bugs in bare feet at night in the back yard, you pretty much have an idea of what I would have shown you.
Thanks for all the well wishes, will have to catch up with all the posts.

ps, about the pale boys, they are the palest kids at the pool when we get to NY, and the darkest when we get back to Ireland, and that's with factor 30+ everyday... very funny. _________________ I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass.

KalyI miss the Jersey shore.. and here I am in the land of 10,000 lakes.. but there is nothing like the ocean. Here in Minneswonda... we know when tourists are in town.. they have a tan. Not that you can't tan, here (especially with the unusually hot summers we enjoyed, sorta, the last few years)... but our winters are long...................
Welcome back...

Welcome back, kaly. Good to see that you and the boys made it there and back in one piece. We missed you around here. You have some catching up to do.

Thanks Kim, I definetly do! All the birthdays, newbies and great new videos to watch. Only one week until the boys go back to school, [praise the lord], so I'll more time then.
Cap,
Saw what you wrote me on another post, yes I ate everything I could get my hands on that I can't get here! Bagels, dunkin doughnuts, twinkies, hostess fruit pies, duck sauce, steamed clams, just to name a few, and not in that order or at the same time.
And like usual, I always go there feeling like I have been frozen in time and just thawed...when did they come out with white oreos!!! Holy cow they are good! And how many new marshmallow shapes have they put into lucky charms! Don't even get me started on the chocolate flavored cool whip! It's just so overwhelming to me just thinking of it all. _________________ I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass.
