Oh, I know I'm not the only one who sent in pics for forum icons . Come on people, I know we have some more interesting pics laying around somewhere! Let's digg 'em out and contribute! Personally, I want to see some fan art, because I'm not very good with art myself. But what do you guys think of the icons so far? I think they look amazing. I like how the sizes turned out. And I want to say thanks to whoever did the cropping, and resizing (I know that treehouse must have been a pain, but... you made it look a lot better than the way it was originally). Including that tree trunk made a world of difference! Anyway, thanks again tlw team ,

I just sent some I threw together since no one else has (to my knowledge) sent any in. Here's hoping they work.

So it's been a while since I've heard anything about this. I heard that other icons were submitted after I submitted mine. Will there be a vote? Or have the icons been decided against?

Sunkrux, thanks for asking. All the icons submitted are excellent. The staff is in beta phpbb3 training. Once some of the third go around phpbb3 training is settled we can post about the icons.

Ok, that didn't answer my question about whether or not there would be a vote on all icons submitted.

I'm thinking they'll let us know if they need a vote when they get to that point, but, as for now, they'll take what they can get...well, either that or "the staff" (wow, it sounds so "official") chooses their icons according to their tastes and what they think we would like. Either way's fine with me. The site look great!


...and I like that season three group photo on the home page btw! Just felt like mentioning it.

Wow, it's been over 4 months since I last inquired about the icons that myself and possibly others have submitted for a vote and nothing else has been said. Is the new software that difficult to learn? Has the staff been transported to the plateau by those pesky shifting planes of reality? Inquiring minds would like to know. Thank you.

The hold up is due to the new phpbb3 upgrade. A few short weeks after Freeforums announced forums can now post icons, Freeforums announced the upgrade to phpbb3 would not include icons. Frustrating. Because of the numerous requests for this feature during the 3 beta cycles, a decision was made by Freeforums to include icons in the upgrade.

When the time comes for our upgrade, we can resume the completion of icons. When will we be upgraded? The beta board is on the docket to be converted soon. After the team is familiar with the controls and the new mods and codes, The Lost World Fan Forum can be placed on the docket to be upgraded.
