I really haven't seen any of the cast members in other movies accept for David orth, i saw him in the T.V. movie "The stranger game", he played the bad guy in it but still did a great job doing it, oh and i also saw one of the guest stars of the series in another T.V. movie on the Sci-fi channel.

Yes I think we might have

What did you think of the scene in the pilot movie when marguerite nearly got eaten by that croc! I found it so funny and R was very heroic to jump in and play as it's chew toy!

I just saw the pilot a few weeks ago. I was so confused. In the opening credits, they showed David Orth as Malone, but when the show started, Willian DVry was Malone in both part 1 and 2. They never mentioned. Another funny thing is in the opening credits, when they show bits and pieces of the show, they show someone being grabbed by a huge vine from a deadly plant. This was the old Malone from the pilot getting caught up before the intro of Veronica who comes to save him.

Funny what you notice. Think I'm getting old.

Kaly ...you saw the pilot??? Boy-o ... the pilot hasn't aired in the US for a long time.. lucky lass....

After the pilot aired...the producers to the show decided on a different *type* for the role of Malone. David Orth won the role.

Hope this helps a bit...

Just a question. I thought I heard that the pilot movie was actually a movie, but then it was decided that it be split into two episodes for the series. So, I just wanted to ask if the pilot movie actually was a full "movie" before the series aired, because from what I understand about film, a pilot is suppossed to be an introduction to a production? Hello Geoff....

The two hour TV movie was the pilot for an anticipated series. The pilot aired and the project was sold and marketed into syndication. Later the TV movie/pilot was converted into two first season episodes (The Journey Begins episode 22 and Stranded episode 23). Those two episodes were reedited with some scenes taken out and new scenes inserted. Haven't a clue why scenes in the TV/Pilot/Movie were edited out and new scenes shot and inserted into the "The Journey Begins and Stranded".

This info was posted by plr about some of the differences between the Pilot/TV Movie and the two part first season episodes:

Quote:
The pilot has several different scenes, I've probably forgotten some but the ones I remember are:

- Added scene of Marguerite fighting before she enters the zoological society meeting.

- Added scene in Challengers study.

- When they meet Veronica, in one version she grunts ode to joy, and comments on on her musical knowledge and the other she speaks to them in English and then says her french is a little rusty

Ally did a wonderful video on first season Roxton and Marguerite moments. The video includes the library scene...which was part of the pilot movie, but later edited out of the two part episode arc.

Thanks to her, I was able to watch the scenes that weren't included in the first two episodes, like that whole marguerite shooting roxton scene over and over and over again... Probably one of the best scenes ever.... Wink

Just curious cap, if "the journey begins" and "stranded" were episodes 21 ans 22 of the sereies, why does the dvd box set have them listed as the first two episodes?

On the box set that I have of S1 they are listed as 21 and 22. I think there are two versions out there. I have the set with bloopers and a bit of Con footage. My set was produced by Liberty Entertainment. My S2 and 3 sets are by Image Entertainment.
