Shawn, you are right, it is possible that SciFi did shave off a few seconds here and there for more commercial air time (because Aztec Rex is second run) but I didn't notice any significant differences. Had I taped the show this time around I would do a comparison for you.. but I knew the DVD's were coming out today...so I didn't tape. Sorry. Sad

Well, it looks like the DVD isn't coming out until September. Amazon isn't even selling it now.
Mad

I placed my order with Overstock... and they said: August 5, 2008. I didn't see any notice of ship yesterday. So I dug up my order and the reason why 'no ship'... "Out of Stock". Rolling Eyes (which probably means they never had it in stock). I'll have to wait a full month to get my Shawn and Will fix....

TakecARE!

LOL
Sure, if I ever get a good copy myself. I asked Rigel Entertainment for a copy several times and they just give me the run around.

Shawn, they never treated Aztec Rex with any consideration (that I saw). Heatstroke's trailer was up on their site long before airing. Aztec Rex's trailer appeared after airing.

I could miss the part when Will gets the chomp. My boys asked me "what's all that stuff?" and I had to tell them the dino broke open his lunch box and all his spaghetti fell out. Shocked

LOL
My daughters got a little freaked out when they saw my leg bitten off. Right after that scene, they both looked at my right leg and then at me and asked how I put my leg back on.

Beckers, you had me in stitches... ... .. Wink

Shawn, there is a true story about Kirk Douglas and one of his favorite films Van Gogh. Evidently when his kids saw the scene where Kirk as Van Gogh took his ear off..... the kids thought Dad really did take his ear off. The kids became upset.

Cheers~~~~~

I love those kinds of stories from out of Hollywood. Another one I heard was from Laura Dern when she was a child she watched a film featuring her father, Bruce Dern, and in one scene, he gets decapitated and his head comes bouncing down some stairs. She said in the interview that it traumatized her for a while and her father had to convince her that his head couldn't come off to calm her down.

Shawn I received the following notice from Amazon.com this morning...

Aztec Rex (2008)

This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

?????? I have a few choice words... ... but being almost a lady ... I can't repeat them here... Evil or Very Mad

P.S. To hedge my bets I did place a similar order with Overstock (around the same time that I placed one with Amazon - in June). They just informed me they can't ship the item... (and refunded my money).

P.P.S. I also placed an order with CD Universe.. haven't heard from them yet...

As for the DVD..... there are three little words that keep circling in my head. What the Applesauce (slang from the 1940's) ...
