Men are putty in a woman's hands after all.
I liked this episode. It had a good mix of seriousness and comedic parts thrown in.
Seeing poor Roxton in his little cage being torn one way then the other as the voodoo doll was being manipulated back at tree house had me squirming in agaony. Poor man.
Roxton is just like any other red-blooded male-see a pretty face and good body (through a very revealing costume) and we slaver like a Raptor that's just found a group of dead cannibals.
I agree that it would have been nice to see how far Margie would go if she had the doll I can only imagine and shiver in fear at the prospect.
It wasn't one of the shows best eps but it was still a very decent offering. |
Guy (the writer of this masterpiece) is so very sorry.. as he has said time and again. Will didn't like the fact that Roxton was going to behave like an idiot (actors are very protective of their roles). I was extremely fortunate to have, only once, access to Guy M, through J&G. And, the first thing I asked about was Bonnie Ms. Latex. Guy said: "So very sorry for that episode. Will wasn't happy, I wasn't happy. We tried our best to suggest Roxton was under a spell (of the hex/VD kind)." The next question I asked was about Travelers and one of the characters names. Which has murky roots leading to the wording of the "Declaration of Independance." But that is a different story..
btw Guy thought he made up for VDQ with "Outlaw"....his very next script, penned under his new title of "Head Showrunner".

| CAP you're an angel for sharing that information. I had been a huge Xena fan and regretted the musical episodes, feeling there was no place for them. With TLW, I felt just as protective and betrayed when the actors behaved completely out of character. At least without being under a spell, drug or hypnosis. That was part of the power of the show, we knew these people for better and worse. We could always count on them to be true to themselves. Everyone associated with the show deserves a great deal of credit for maintaining the integrity of TLW. Any slip up is exaggerated in our estimation. Hopefully, they see our critiques as a compliment to how much we thought of their work.
