I'm watch Peter be extra evil in The Locals.

Peter is an evil landowner who has somehow created an evil Brigadoon for ghosts in the New Zealand Country side.

Grant, a young man dumped by his girlfriend, is dragged by his friend Paul on a road trip to the beach. Along the way, the two decide to take a short cut across a farm marked private property. They meet up with two girls in a fast car who tell the boys to follow them to a party. The boys find the combined lure of fun and sex irresistable, go after the girls, and end up crashing in a ditch. Unable to get enough traction to get the car free, they go to the closest house to ask for help. Through the front window of the house, they see a bearded man (guess who) slit the throat of a woman. They yell in horror and draw attention to themselves. The murderer gives chase.

When the boys get back to the road, they discover that the murderous farmer isn't alone. He has a posse of men with him.

Then the fun really begins...

There's a little blood, not too much. The thrills are mostly suspense chases, general unease and the realization that we are dealing with ghosts. It's not so much a jump fright fest as creating an atmosphere of wrongness that gets thicker and thicker as the film goes on. So, even horror lightweights can enjoy this. Do, Peter's villiany is well worth it. He's cold creepy.
