Most of all I liked two scenes:
1. When Magrueirte got undressed and she slapped Roxton on the cheek only because he was the first one she saw
2. When Magrueirte whispered those mysterious words to Roxton's ear. Have you ever noticed how much he wished to hear them and how his face changed when she said them? It was so fuuny! _________________ Experience is something you get the moment after you need it

| This show was my introduction to The Lost World, so it has a special place in my heart. It was a grand ride that freaked me out in the beginning. I kept thinking "don't separate, don't separate" once they got to the castle. They didn't listen to me (as usual) and I got sucked in to the story line. I thoroughly enjoyed Challenger and Veronica stepping into an on going plot in their original clothes. It was amusing to watch each react to the other. Challenger finding Roxton's and Malone's characters clothing on skeletons that had already played into the "Living Stone's" plans added sense to what was unfolding. It was a fun and well rounded episode. Our friends made the most of their characters and did a fine job of selling their transformations to me.

I don't know about you guys, but I think that this episode has the best special effects in the whole series, well, except for "Heart of the Storm," of course, but , other than that wouldn't you agree? _________________ "I don't think it's the patient sort George!" said by roxton to challenger in, "Under Pressure"

| Hmmm, you could be right hoghunter. After all, the stone gargoyles did give me the heebie jeebies. Their acting was nice as they transformed into the doomed characters before our eyes. I don't know about any of you, but I dang sure would not have gotten into a bathtub in a strange place the way Marguerite did. That is probably why I'm commenting instead of running from a wild beast right now. My thirst for adventure has been quenched quite nicely here.

It scared me too, the first time I watched it.
This weekend I was reading a misc of Edgar A. Poe's writtings, and stumbled upon "The Masque of the Red Death". I don't think it is a coincidence: in this tale, Poe's main character is Prince Prospero who, in face of the plague roaming through his reign, lock himself in a castle with a few good friends to party while his people are being exterminated by the plage outside... It sounded kind of familiar, even the name of the character (Prospero was the name of the wizard that Challenger incarnates, isn't it?)
Has anyone else who knows this tale by Poe found any similarities? _________________ "Sometimes, when I think about what my life has given me, here and now, I wonder what more I could possibly ask for..." - Marguerite (The Lost World - Season 3 - Episode "True Spirit")
