ok thank you, I finally read the season 4 summary
I found it very interesting and king of ironic that Marguerite is the one who could kill or save everyone....
And the Changeling story makes me think about the K.K. Rush books about the feys.

Anyway, too bad there is no season 4, but, at least, I finally (after almost 4 years of wondering) know what happened to Marguerite !!!

I have rewatched all the episodes recently and this is by far still my favorite episode. And to add to the discussion above, I'm sure Roxton and Marguerite did "it" :D :D
Anyway, I actually had a question. In the beginning of the scene where Roxton tells Marguetie again he loves her, Roxton reffers to something Marguerite said when the had met for the first time:

"You're not what I expected"

What I was wondering, is this something Marguerite actually has said in season 1 or just something the writers thought she might have said??

I think it was more a comment on what Marguerite might have been thinking when they first met. She never said much of anything along those lines to Roxton when they first met in S1. He was rather arrogant and she didn't appreciate that. But as time went on and they got to know each other better, they both realized that neither of them were what the other expected.

That's pretty much what I was thinking myself. Thanks SunKrux for answering :)

You know one thing's for sure, that if there was a season four, marguerite probably would have been pregnant.

Dear gods I hope not. Sorry I've never been one of those "My ship HAS to have a baby to make them complete" type fan. I honestly don't think the writers would have gone that route simply because in that time period and where they were living, a pregnancy would have endangered not only Marguerite, but the others as well. Besides...I do NOT see Marguerite being content to be confined to the tree house because you know if she were to get preggers, Roxton would NOT (well he'd try anyway) let her go out side the tree house or the compound below. He's that protective of her.

Oh no, no pregnancy. The writers had too much for them to do first to get Marguerite pregnant.
However, once they got back to "civilization" all bets are off ... ;)

If Season 4 had started AFTER Rachel became pregnant, her pregnancy either would have been disguised (as was Catherine Bell's in JAG), or made into a post "Trapped" storyline.

Just because an actress gets pregnant, doesn't mean the writers will automatically write her character as pregnant. Chances are they would have hid it since a LOT of shows tend to do that rather than write the pregnancy into the storyline. Especially if they've already got the storyline for the season mapped out. It's easier to hide a pregnancy if the storyline for the season is already mapped out. I'm willing to bet that IF S4 had happened, they would have hidden Rachel's pregnancy since I think the writers had the season mapped out before the show ended.

The writers really were toying with the idea Marguerite would become pregnant. I know so, because I was reading old Treehouse News today. This way really was on order.

But without putting words in their mouths, and assuming that issues of schedule and money can be satisfactorily negotiated, our sense is that if the offer was made, it would be accepted by all. Yes, the Story Department would have to pull some raptors out of a hat. Rachel's pregnancy either would have to be disguised (as was Catherine Bell's in this past season of JAG), or -- more intriguingly, perhaps -- made into a post-"Trapped" storyline. There is a possibility that not everyone would be available for an entire season -- but we faced that challenge with Veronica and Malone in Season Three, and we were prepared to face it with Roxton in the first few episodes of Season Four (when Will Snow had a potential conflict with a feature film).

I don't read it that way at all. :D They were giving an either or option. Just because they said "intriguingly" doesn't make me automatically think that's what they were going to do. It was an option, not written in stone. My guess is they would have discussed it quite extensively with Rachel, (and possibly her partner), her agent & producers as to how to handle her pregnancy at the time. Also, producers have a big say in how an actresses pregnancy is handled in a show. I know when Charisma Carpenter was pregnant in her last season of Angel, Joss Wheadon was NOT happy.

I think it would have all depended on how the higher up producers took the news (if S4 had be a go) of Rachel's pregnancy. Sometimes some producers take the news quite well and some take it badly (like Joss did with Charisma). It's such a shame that in this day and age that sometimes a woman is penalized for getting pregnant in Hollywood.

Somehow, I don't see Marguerite pregnant, not for quite some time yet after season 3. If anyone, I would sooner see Veronica pregnant. My guess is that they would have hidden Rachel's pregnancy and worked around it with some storylines.

I was looking for more emailed newsletters and came across this quote from the J&G posted Treehouse News:

Quote:
A FIRST LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S EPISODE: “Trapped”
You might want to keep a fan and a cold drink close at hand for this one. We understand that caves on the Plateau can get mighty hot, being all closed in, with no chance of escape, no chance of… interruption. (P.S. For those who wondered if there might ever be an all-singing episode of TLW, this episode might suggest what the chances of that are…)
