It's a shame if the rumors about no third season prove true. I too hope they round up the plot line at a convenient point. Sigh.

Just watched the latest episode, appropriately named "Walter". And I won't say too much since it only aired today, but I thoroughly enjoyed Craig Parker as the Walter character - it's always a pleasure to watch an actor show his range.

Did you enjoy the ep? What do you think of this latter half of season 2?

S2 has totally rocked. I'm LOVING it. I really hope ABCDisney is able to find some place to air the show or it will end at the end of this season I fear. :(

Walter was fabulous. I KNEW there was a reason (other than he's just HAWT!) I like Craig Parker (Darken Rahl/Walter). He's got skills. :D

Yes sadly the show is canceled. I'm sad to see it go and for those who are partaking in the "Save Our Seeker" campaign I wish you nothing but luck. I also wish that some of those same fans would stop attacking and generally bad mouthing the US network SyFy for their decision to not pick up the show. SyFy looked at it and it didn't fit their vision, no matter how much fans might think it will and does. Attacking the network or it's employee's online is NOT a smart move and only makes the rest of the polite and kind fans look bad. That is why I no longer participate in such campaigns. I'm tired of the more rude and vocal fans making the rest of the respectable fans look bad.

That said...

OMG this weeks eps was AWESOME!!! Lots of OMG! WTF?! and HUH?! as well as a couple of OH DREN! moments. It looks like this show is going to go out with a bang! :D As long as they don't end like TLW did, I'm okay with what's happening now. :D

LOL, SunKrux, you totally took the words right out of my mouth. This weekend's ep was crazy!! Total WTF?!?! at the end!! Two episodes left, and I bet it'll be a doozy! I'm enjoying how they carry the story arcs, with enough speed-up and slow-down moments to really connect with the characters, while still maintaining an energetic plot. If this is the end of the show - for good - I'll just have to say, it's been a great ride!

(also agree - PLEASE don't end it like TLW!)

Later, K

I'm kind of confused. LOTS does not really differ very much from Merlin or the dragon epics SyFy loves.

prairie gal - I don't understand it myself so I can only guess that while the ratings were decent for a syndicated show, the cost to procure the rights to air it out weighed the decent ratings in SyFy's mind. I may not like it but there is no point in any fan behaving the way I've seen some fans behave in regards to SyFy not picking the show up. A lot of fans, it seems to me, do not understand how expensive it is for networks to purchase just the rights to air a show, much less how expensive it is to produce a show. All some of these fans know is (and I totally get where they're coming from) that the "suits" killed their fav show and they want it back on tv, however behaving badly about it is only going to piss people off and make them not want to look at getting the show back on the air for the fans. Fans like that also give the polite, decent and kind fans a bad name in the eyes of a lot of people, not just the "suits".

Since I had to chase the program around on the TV, I'd say any ratings were good. About half the time, the show was pre-empted by baseball on one channel or soccer on the other! It was maddening expecially before I discovered hulu, thanks to the board here. I have no idea how much it costs nor anything else but I do know it hits their demographic of young males, it has adequate (if not more amounts of gore, although how that white gown stayed white is a major question), enough daring do for a dozen shows and significantly complicated plots. Basically it is an offshoot of StarTrek with magic replacing science. Oh well, not my problem, I may yet turn my TV into a planter. I am looking foreward to the last ep with trepidation. If it matches the last ep of TLW, I may turn to violence. Would a TV make a better planter or acquarium?

Considering that LotS was a syndicated show, yes the ratings for it (even though it aired at really odd hours most of the time) were pretty good. However moving from a syndicated show to a network show even the decent ratings it had wasn't enough to warrant any network investing in it. They'd have to purchase the rights to air the show and the decent ratings weren't enough for any network to risk that kind of money on. Sad but true.

I just saw the finale of Legend of the Seeker. It was a bit rushed but they did manage to give the storyline a conclusion.

Understandably that is not always possible on television.

But, when it can be done it is a courtesy to the fans who invested numerous hours of their time along the way. For those who want more adventures with the characters there are the books....with their own, different, story to tell.

My thanks to those who gave us the entertainment.

I agree with newshawk. It is only fair to the viewer who has invested their time and money (yes my time is worth money!) in their show to complete it to the best of their ability. I enjoyed the last show because it cleared up a lot of things I would wonder about. If I enjoy a show I don't have to have a cliff hanger to tune in again. As a matter of fact cleiff hangers irritate me. They were ok when I was a kid at the Saturday matinee but now they seem so passe. I will miss the show because I liked the writing and the cast bummer.

:D I have a question. Which was your favorite character and why? Mine turned out to be Cara who almost always was sharp fresh and often funny.

Cara would be my first choice as favorite too. After that I would pick Richard. I like that he grows into his powers.

In fact, I think that is what I like about both Cara and Richard. Along the course of the series they grow into their potential.

As a character choice, I definitely found Cara to be my fave - especially mid-season 2 (like the Princess episode, hilarious!), she was occasionally funny, powerful, awesome fight scenes, and with a haunted past - you couldn't help but root for her redemption.

But Bridget Regan was still my very favorite actor/actress on the show. All were quite excellent, but the character of Kahlan didn't get the easy run of humorous quips (Zedd and Cara) or fairly simple backstory/past (Richard, the woodcutter's son). The Confessor was very complex - even "heavy" - and Bridget absolutely DELIVERED. Phenomenal - can't wait to see what she does next. Definitely an actress I will be following...
