I can't believe no one here has started a thread about this fabulous new show by BBC. My wonderful evil twinny, Ryalin, forced me to take her Series 1 DVD set and she's lucky I gave it back to her today.

I don't know if I can stand the wait for BBCAmerica to start Series 2. I know that it's startin on BBC on October 6th so I wonder how long before BBCA will air it.

I NEED more Robin Hood and Lady Marian NOW!!!

Let's discuss shall we?

I agree that this is a great show. I watched it when it premiered on BBCA a few months ago and I've already watched my DVDs a few times. Very Happy

While the show is based on one of my fave heroes, Robin Hood, there's a nice twist they've put on the story that have made all the characters more interesting than in their previous incarnations. I also can't wait for more, hopefully BBCA will have a fast pickup!

I had seen it advertised but at the time it was already several eps into the series so I didn't bother and then Ry brought me her DVDs last month when we visited (I love being in the same state with my twinny...especially when I can go see her or her see me in less than 3 hours. Very Happy ) in my neck o' the woods.

I started watching them last week and finished up on Friday night. I HAD to watch the last three eps again last night because they were so good!

My favorite bit from the last eps...
Hidden:
when Marian took the ring off her left hand and put it on her right and SLUGGED Sir Guy! Laughing I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that dress as well.

I had to go hunt down a ton of Marian icons and images last night. I also have some Robin/Marian as well. Can't stand her with Sir Guy. He's tooo smarmy. I like him and the sheriff as bad guys (you know that Richard and Keith are having fun playing them) but Marian and Robin BELONG together. Very Happy

I also was able to catch the show when it aired on BBCA, thanks to a post by stdwynwen on the old board. I'd always loved the story of Robin Hood and I got hooked on this version immediately. I can't wait until it's back with Season 2, but I don't expect it until 2008 sometime Sad

Oh and SunKrux, that was one of my favorite parts of the last three eps as well Laughing

I really wasn't that into it. Evil or Very Mad Confused
do you smell something burning? Wait...it's my pants...they're on fire

From the original board: Here is the discussion thread of the first series.
I may have went overboard on the summaries.

I'm right there with ya sista. Very Happy

I think what I liked most about R/M is the depth of backstory the writers gave them.
These two had a history. They needed to find their way back to each other.

Laughing stdwynwen - you're too funny.

I can't wait until March 2008 to watch S2. BBC is airing it starting October 6th and I WILL (no Cap not THAT will) find a way to see it before March. I can't wait 5 to 6 months LATER to see it.
