Hello everyone!
Yesterday I came back from my short 10-day vacation trip to Paris
This was my first trip to France and I am still impressed. The country is beautiful! These 10 days were so full of emotions and impressions that I think it is just impossible to express them all
Several memorable moments – the view from the very top of Eifel Tower (275 m). It was something really amazing and unforgettable And breath-taking… I felt like I can fly! And Paris suddenly seemed so big, even endless…
The second is visit to Versalles. The palace, its gardens and small village around looked so beautiful and peaceful that it was hard to believe that they were so close to Paris and yet so far.
Third – we passed through the tunnel where Princess Diana died. The 13th column is still not repaired. Of course it was forbidden to stop there and there were no evidences of the catastrophe which I expected to see – flowers, pictures or something else. But still I felt sad passing through this place
And the last, but no least – Disney land! It felt like I was 10 years old! Everything was so exciting and bright and felt like I got into a real fairy-tale! I've spent there only 7 hours and, believe me, it was not enough to see everything. Most of all I like Ghost-house where we were taken through the haunted place in cabins and it was dark and scary and I could see skeletons everywhere, but it was real fun. Then goes Pirates of Caribbean – sailing on boats through dark tunnel with thunder and lightening all around The same about pirates – climbing up and down the broken ship. There were the brightest! But I think I could keep on telling about this wonderful park for hours My friends still have to live through this when it comes to meeting them
But I'm glad to be back home again, mainly because I didn't have my Lost World with me there I've missed you all and I hope nothing extraordinary happened while I was out
Now I have to catch up on the news _________________ Experience is something you get the moment after you need it

Sound like you had a dream trip, Nadin! Glad you had a wonderful time. Vacations are always too short, aren't they? Any pictures? _________________ "Cats are like potato chips... it's hard to have just one."

Missed you too Nadin here is a return Hug...
You visit the most glamourous and marvelous cities in the world. I can feel your excitement and awe and thank you so much for sharing the experience. I have to ask....what was the most delicious meal you had (Paris the heart of Haute cooking). And speaking of Haute did you see any Coulture?
Hugs again...

Yes, CalGal, it still feels like a dream for me, can't believe it was for real You can see some pics here
CAP, actually we didn't eat too much of real French food there :p mainly because we never had enough time to spend it on visiting restaurants - shopping and monument were our preferences, but I definitely liked crepes with Nuttella and sandwiches with cheese and ham which were available nearly at any corner But what I liked the most were croissants with almonds
Leaving for vacation, I had an aim to find and taste frog legs and can you imagine how disappointed I was when I never found them in any menu?! *I'm talking about real restaurants, not about fast-food cafes and coffee shops where I spent most of my time :p* So, that means that it wasn't my last visit to Paris _________________ Experience is something you get the moment after you need it

Hello nadin..
Last night I wrote a posting.... and I hit the wrong key.. all is gone (sorry). Well, anyway.. loved hearing about your trip (how I envy you being in the City of Lights... the beauty, the glamour, the food... and the clothing *sigh*). Sorry to hear you and the frog legs didn't get a chance to met up.. but .. there is a next time. I was in Paris, only for one day many years ago and I ate a bread (I think it was a ficelle*sp* type) along with cheese (the French I believe have over 400 cheeses).... I tried to sample at least three (not enough time to sample more).
I wanted so much to climb the Tower but ran out of time.. I've seen pictures of the view.. it's magnificant and breathtaking and wonderful and glorious and simply Paris. Oh, did I ever tell you I have a strong affection for fresh croissants... there is nothing in the world like them.. so light and delicate. They are a very special treat.
I thank you for your, your delightful posting (brought back such good memories).. and, and welcome back...
Here is a welcome back hug... _________________ CAP...
