|

| Go to the TVShowsonDVD.com Web site. Today only for some reason, Amazon is taking a hundred bucks off the price of the full series set of one of Irwin Allen's best TV shows. It's been a long time since I've watched "Land of the Giants", but I recall the giants using a strip of scotch tape to confine the show's adventurers to giant tabletops. They had great giant props on that show. And pretty good guest stars too: I remember one episode had both Bruce Dern and Yvone Craig. Actually, the "Lost World" episode "The Prisoner" reminded me of this series.

I just finished watching this series, rented from Netflix. Lots of great guest stars of the period, including, as you mention, Bruce Dern and Yvonne Craig in one of the last few episodes.
For the era, pretty darn good special effects. Good looking and talented cast. Just a fun series. Too bad it didn't stay on the air long enough to get the folks back to earth! _________________ "Cats are like potato chips... it's hard to have just one."

| I loved this series when it came on Scifi years ago. I taped a good chunk of the episodes off there. I'm sure I'll get around to getting the boxset someday..lol.

| Oh my gosh....that was my favorite show when I was a kid!!! I later "graduated to "Space 1999", Star Trek and The Six Million Dollar Man....but that is so cool! I'm thrilled that I'm not the only person who remembers this show. Great big fun!!!!
