Maybe in a million years you'll be able to understand like he does, but you will never be the man that he is. NOOOOO

Where are you going? I haven't finished talking to you yet. Your nothing but an animal you hear me? A savage, brainless brute(?) the very anthesis of him.

You feel it don't you, the emptiness the difference between the two of you. You want to be like him. Kind, gentle, capable of something more than this mindless violence. I see it in your eyes. The pain, loneliness. How sad it must be to never know the warmth of another living being, never feel their love. Do you know what that is? Love? To value another person's life and happiness more than you do your own. To willingly lay down your life for theirs. The man you want to be taught me this, taught me more than anyone I've ever known. Helped me find this love within myself. I love him and I never told him. If there is anything of him in you I can love that too. Don't walk a away! Please untie me."

Marguerite's speeech to the dark Roxton was very compelling regarding love. Love is one of those emotions that can be very dificult to describe. How would you describe love?

This post brings back beautiful memories Wink . I loved this episode not only because Will and Rachel acted so well, but also because it was so real and powerful. We got to see Roxton's dark side and Marguerite's emotional one Wink
I used parts of this speech in one of my essays and my English teacher was pretty amazed. I got a ten (A) Wink

Laura you should rewatch this episode and tell us your two cents on it. Wink I saw it again last night and it brought a big smile on my face- oh what a romantic dream I had. Romance is my favourite state of mind - if only real life could resemble more with the atmosphere from the movies Rolling Eyes

I always thought this episode showed Will's acting talents perhaps more than any other. Dark Hunter never even says a word and yet you feel and understand so much from him.

The whole episode was excellent! I adore it! And Marguerite's speech- priceless.... Finally she addmits what we have known for a long time- she loves roxton.
I could say that this definition of love applies mostly to her. She's very complicated and to her love is something she had to let herself feel. It's not the same with everybody.
I really don't think you can describe love in any way, it just IS. You can try and find the words, like Marguerite tried to capture its meaning but the feeling is unique for each person....
