So I was just thinking, Roxton and Veronica seem to be the toughest of the group, but who would win in a fight if they actually fought each other? I know we got to see this happen in "the prodigal father" but Veronica was all drugged up, and roxton wasnt really trying to hurt her, just avoid her. He got stabbed cause of it, haha. But who would win in a fight under fair circumstances? no weapons, just fists.

I'm not sure... it's a tough question...

If it was a fight to the death (which circumstances, I can't imagine), I'm not sure Lord John Roxton could really go that far - especially against a woman.

But I voted for Veronica as well...for a different reason. I think Roxton is quite the warrior, but Vee has a bit more of the down-and-dirty hand-to-hand, no-weapons-needed skillset.

If Veronica were trying to kill Marguerite then I would say Roxton would win. BUT, for any other reason, Veronica would win. Only because it's just not in Roxton to fight a woman with his fist -- to win.

I think if Veronica were trying to kill Marguerite, Roxton would shot her rather than get into a fist fight.

I voted Roxton, even though I don't think he'd honestly get into any kind of physical fight with Veronica. He's too honorable. BUT if all bets were off for some reason, he'd win, hands down. One well placed punch by him (he is stronger than she is). But then I like Roxton more than I like Veronica.

Nah, if he spotted Veronica trying to kill Marguerite he'd think somthing was wrong, she was possed or drugged and his first reaction would be to push her away and/or punch her to get her away from Marguerite. But if worse came to worse, if none of that made a difference, THEN he would draw his pistol and wing her. Remember, he has a thing about shooting people, especially people he cares about, ever since William died at his hand.

Roxton may be stronger but Veronica is wirey, can tumble and we've see her go up against two Jack the Rippers and defeat them both. Now, granted, they were older then her but they had weapons whereas Veronica only had her stealth and wits.

On the other hand, she has said herself that (one of) her greatest advantages is that her opponents under-estimate her ... and Roxton knows better then to do that!

I agree with everyone. I voted for Veronica because I'm assuming the fight is hand to hand combat. For as tough as I believe Roxton to be, I think he'd wear out fairly quick in a battle against Veronica considering her agility. I don't think she has the brute strength to actually take him out though. Over all, my judgement is tainted by the fact that I doubt his heart would be in it. Just another of his many charms.

I say it depends on what season Roxton we're talking about. I think S3 Roxton wouldn't hesitate to protect Marguerite (he'd deal with the consequences with her later) in any way necessary to protect her. If that meant shooting to kill or maim, I think he'd do it. Would he feel guilty as hell after, you betcha.

Well yeah, in that case anyone of them could beat her, including Marguerite, Challenger and the little creepy blind kid from the first season. After all, Ned didn't exactly go hand to hand combat with her. He caught Veronica by surprise.
And the same would go for Roxton too if they caught him by surprise. One well placed blow and he'd go down like a sack of potatoes!

Yeah right - but that doesn't mean anything. Are you actually saying you voted Roxton just because he's a man - because when he's a man, he can't loose to a woman?! Well, I don't agree to that. Now, when I think about it - in a fight with no guns and so - Veronica might have more chances of winning. During the series, she took down a lot men without any guns etc. I voted Veronica now - plus, she'd be more fast and all.

Just my opinion, of course.

Considering how many here have said that Veronica is more agile. That may be true, but she wasn't all that agile when Ned decked her in Prophecy. No one said the fight couldn't have a few tricks. Fair is fair as the ghost of Adrianne said.

Roxton would totally go down, if hit hard enough when caught off guard, I'm just not sure Veronica is strong enough to take him out with one blow and he'd be ready for any others after the first one.

Now if it was a fight between Veronica & Ned, He'd totally loose, period. Poor guy.
