Awww, you're all very sweet and I truly appreciate all the kind words and sentiments especially after the beating I took on the Sci Fi channel Fan Forums pages.
As for my next projects:
1. I will be leading an acting/auditioning workshop this upcoming Saturday in Kona and having some new headshots and photos done. Since there are no acting jobs in Hawaii right now I thought I'd try my hand at modeling.
2. I submitted my current headshot, resume and demo reel DVD to Peter Jackson at Wingnut films for consideration for the upcoming Hobbit film still in development. I may have a snowball's chance in hell of even getting a reading, but like I always say you have to create your own opportunities and not sit and wait for them to come to you.
3. I've also got my headshot, resume and demo reel DVD sent out to several casting directors in L.A. as well as to Joel Schumacher and Clint Eastwood. But with my luck some film school graduate assistant to them has probably already tossed all my stuff. Oh well, if it's meant to be it's meant to be.
4. And my wife and I are working on developing a new member of the family. I am hoping for a male cast member as I am currently outnumbered three to one!
Thank you all again and I will be sure to stay in touch!
Aloha Nui Loa!!

Yep, during breaks in filming we all did crazy stuff to break up the monotony. Jack McGee held court telling stories of his days as a fire fighter in New York and his vast experiences in film and TV. He was also the king of one-liners cranking them out as fast as he could think of them. James Locke (Lt. Duran) treated us to Shakespeare monologues from the plays that he has performed in. Will Sang opera from time to time and Milan, Marc and I did improv with various characters we made up on the set. One was a set of effeminate hair and make up professionals we kind of loosely based on the actual hair and make up people. Our tag line was a loud and lispy "SPRITZIIIIING!!" ( that is what hair and make up call out when they are spraying you with water from a small spray bottle for the appearance of sweat. It lets the camera operators know to cover their lenses so the water doesn't get on them.) Marc and I also did a routine where we were two back woods redneck hillbillies talking about our love for fried squirrels with yeller mustard and how proud we were of our mama being the first one up on the pole every night down at the Titty Twister. Marc's portrayal would have me cracking up even when he wasn't doing it jsut becasue I would be picturing it in my head. I tell you, if I ever get the chance to work with those guys again it would be one of the high points in my life!

LOL we'll see! We've had several scouts and agents ask us about getting our daughters into modeling and commercials (they're ages 2 and 6) but we don't want to take that route just yet.

Shawn.. I'm so enjoying your postings... thank you!!!!
My Dad had 4 lovely (using your terminology) *cast* members. Most of the time, he said he was lucky to be surrounded by so much beauty. Of course, there were the times, he said his name should have been Custer.
Awwwwww thanks for giving us updates and insights and ... and.. thanks...

LOL that was by accident actually. It was back in college and I had been working as a resident advisor at my college's dorms and moonlighting for a night club in Waikiki passing out flyers and drink coupons since the RA gig didn't pay anything. When I lost my job at the college I ended up sleeping on a friend's couch and trying like hell to find a job that didn't interfere with my class schedule. The emcee of the male revue at the club I advertised for heard of my troubles and asked me if I would be interested in joining the show. I didn't think I could cut it since I wasn't all huge and muscular or anything like that. He really encouraged me to try it out and invited me to sit in on one of the shows to see what it was like. Well, after seeing the wads of cash those guys were leaving with at the end of the night I figured I'd give it a try. The emcee, Rico, helped me develop a look and his roommate, Tim, helped me with dance moves since he was a trained professional dancer. After a few weeks of practicing and putting my music together and getting my tear away pants made I debuted at The Cellar nightclub as "Shawn 'Til Dawn". My first routine was to the song "Dark Side" from the film Eddie and the Cruisers. I dressed like a 50's style greaser with a tight black t-shirt, black tear away pants, black boots, ray bans and my hair combed into a short pompadour. I tell you, standing behind the curtain waiting to make my entrance was the most terrifying experience in my life. My heart was racing and I thought I was going to pass out. But as soon as Rico announced me, I exploded out to the stage and gave the performance of a lifetime. And when I counted all the cash I made at the end of the night, I was hooked. I eventually joined the main line up and developed a couple of other routines including one modeled after Tom Cruise's underwear lip syncing in "Risky Business" and another one where I wore my old high school letterman's jacket and danced to "Johnny B Good". After almost a year I got tired of it and finally quit. That was about a month or so before I met my future wife. And yes, she knows all about it.

| Well I'm sure there are a few photos of me out there in my glory days somewhere. We didn't allow videotaping but there were always lots of camera flashes firing off when we performed.

I think we can get you on "Dancing with the Stars" as the other star of Aztec Rex. Practice up on your "Samba Bounce"
