I don't understand that. Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad They updated the status on 11 june, but then there was Rachel's name...
I looked for some infos about the other actress:
Quote:
Tamara Lovatt-Smith is a graduate of the Atlantic Acting School conservatory program, for which she currently teaches. Her training also includes ATYP and NIDA in Sydney. Tamara has worked as a producer and actor with Cheeky Monkey Productions, Mustard Seed Productions, MAGI Theatre and Camelbite in Sydney and Hair of the Dog in NYC. She also worked as an assistant producer with SEL & GFO (Tony winners: “Hairspray”) in Australia on the “Wizard of Oz,” “Grease!” and “Man of La Mancha.” Tamara is a co-founder of Hair of the Dog, an Australian theater/film production company based in New York. Hair of the Dog’s (New York) productions include: “He Died with a Felafel in His Hand,” “Secret Bridesmaids Business,” “The John Wayne Principle,” “Men,’ “Freak Winds” and the short film “The List.”

She went acting school, maybe that is the point, or I don't know. I don't think there was a recast and the film isn't on her IMDbsite.

IMDB can be updated by fans. Like you and me. That's probably why it hasn't been added to Tamara's page...no fan has updated it. Sad

Bummer for Rachel though...and for the movie. What's the point in seeing it now without Rachel?

I'm back home, sunburned (a bit)...tired (a lot) and a friend (luv YAH Mick) just sent this info to me.. it's a recent article from a Queensland Paper. The RealEstateSection

Bogi, this one is for you!

WHEN she's not gracing the stage or the set of her latest film or television project, actress Rachel Blakely likes to kick back at her heavenly River Downs haven and channel out the rest of the world. PENNY COWELL joins her for some respite at her and her partner's beautiful property.
CREATIVE artistic juices have inspired this expansive, dreamy property, owned by actress Rachel Blakely and her partner Sean Rigby.
Ms Blakely, who is widely known for playing Gaby Willis on Neighbours from 1991 to 1994, as well as roles in Blue Heelers and Xena: Warrior Princess, moved up from Melbourne after `falling in love with the Gold Coast'.
``We kept looking in the paper for a lovely sized block. We came to River Downs and put in an offer on the same day,'' said Ms Blakely.
``There weren't many empty blocks left at River Downs by the time we had a look.
``It's just gorgeous here.
``The community feeling is spectacular.''
Ms Blakely said she wanted the home to emanate the open, natural, outdoor lifestyle that Queensland was known for.
``I didn't want segregated living,'' she said.
``I knew I was going to be in the kitchen a lot so I wanted to be able to see everything.
``The house flows seamlessly to the outside.
``I love that you can see the gardens from everywhere in the house.
``I can even shower outside in complete privacy, which is wonderful.
``My favourite room is my bedroom because it flows right out to the garden.''
Agent John Groth, of LJ Hooker Helensvale said River Downs was regarded as one of the safest places to live in Queensland.
``There is only one entrance and one exit with no flow-through traffic,'' he said.
Ms Blakely and Mr Rigby paid ******* for the parcel of land in January 2002.
The lush, balmy feel of the north-facing property is accentuated by the flourishing established palms and trees that surround it, as well as the alluring Saltwater Creek on which the home is set.
A pontoon sits temptingly on the edge of where the property meets the meandering water, ideal for a small tinnie, kayak or canoe.
Mr Rigby said it was only 20 minutes on a runabout boat to Couran Cove, or seven minutes to Sanctuary Cove.
As an alternative, the park next door to the property carries a boat ramp that could be used to launch larger vessels.
Inside the home, the two living areas, dining and kitchen are all contained in the one open space, all spilling out via glass bifold doors to a covered paved terrace and the saltwater pool.
The kitchen, resplendent in classic white and chocolate cupboards, is appointed with stone benchtops, stainless steel appliances and an island bench that seems to stretch for ever.
Three bedrooms are located in a left wing off a hallway, and the huge master bedroom is a pleasure to be in, with gentle white tones throughout that soothe and relax.
The open en suite adjoining the master has a large glass shower, a spa bath and a double vanity, together with glass built-in shelves and granite benchtops.
There is a shower just outside the main bedroom which Ms Blakely said she was inspired to have after holidaying in Bali.
The three other bedrooms have mirrored built-in wardrobes as well as ceiling fans.
A massive shed with three-phase power is included in the property, which contains room for more cars or a boat.
The grounds are large enough for pets, ponies or even quad bikes if desired.
Next door is a large council park and playground, making more room to play.

Happy 4th of July

Beckers....seems like her home is like her.... open, flowing, gracious and exquisite .....

Mick sent along this info, too. Mortified is running again in Australia.. and the Courier Mail wrote a short piece. For those that wonder why "The Lost World" isn't mentioned, it's because, TLW was considered foreign TV production (for markets outside of Australia).

MORTIFIED
ABC1, 4.50pm
MANY people at some point in their childhood think they are adopted and Taylor Fry is no exception.
Who could blame her with parents, Don and Glenda, who run an underwear shop and have no problem displaying them.
In this new children's show, Taylor, played by Marny Kennedy, seriously hopes she comes from another family.
When her school announces a talent quest for parents, she realises she needs to act fast if she is to stop her family from humiliating her in front of classmates and her crush, Leon.
With the help of her friend Hector, she tries taking DNA samples from her parents believing if she can prove they are not her real folks, then she can ban them from taking the stage.
Mortified plays well to its audience, many of whom will know exactly what it's like to be in Taylor's shoes.
Being mortified by your mum's clothes or your dad's occupation, children and even tweenies (the 10-12 age group), will laugh along with the Fry family antics.
There are no famous faces in the series, unless you count Rachel Blakely who, about a decade ago, starred in Neighbours but Kennedy does stand out in her lead role.
It is clear while Taylor thinks she is a nerd and her family is embarrassing, it is actually the opposite. Unbeknown to her, best friend Hector likes her and classmates dig her parents.
The talent quest should really be named a talent test, with kids looking on in shame as their folks perform mediocre songs.
Unfortunately, the DNA test turns out not the way the schoolgirl hoped. Well, she had hoped her parents were actually George Clooney and Nicole Kidman but, as a result of mixing up the hairs, Taylor finds the sample was from a greyhound, not exactly perfect father material. :hairraise:

Lucie had an idea about a gift for Rachel's birthday, that is very great, I think. So we made a birthday page to the Unofficial Rachel Blakely FanSite where we're trying to collect the messages of the fans that they write to her birthday.
Please visit the page and write us an e-mail! Very Happy

Great Idea Bogi and Lucie Smile

Here is one article (I don't thing was posted on the old Newline board) about One Way Ticket....

Quote:
THERE is this one scene in One Way Ticket and it has lodged in my cerebral oesophagus like a hastily swallowed chunk of fresh bread.
Prison guard Deborah Carter is on duty, toiling over her paperwork while keeping a watchful eye on the assorted lags loitering in the remand prison exercise area.
Up sidles Mick Webb, convicted murderer, soon to be sentenced and transferred to Pentridge. Webb has decided that if he can form a sexual liaison with the not unattractive Carter, she may help him escape.
As we are told at the outset, this programme is ``based'' on events which occurred in Melbourne in March 1993 _ events which saw a female prison warder help a prisoner escape.
Webb begins to chat to Carter and what a wonderfully gifted student of human nature he turns out to be when he offers an opinion as to her background.
A rebel at school, he propounds, good at sport, patronised by men and married too young to a dull husband who offered security. Surprise, surprise. Amateur analyst Webb, an uneducated killer resplendent with tattoos and whose pastime is bludgeoning people to death, has seen Carter's past as in a vision splendid.
How did he manage to be so incredibly perspicacious? This is the pivotal moment of the script for it is at this point that Carter begins to feel an attraction to him, impressed by what she sees as his sensitivity and perceptiveness.
It is a question never answered, a scene overplayed, overwritten and laced with incredulity.
One Way Ticket, a telemovie starring Rachel Blakely (Neighbours) as Carter and Peter Phelps as Webb (Fire, Heartbreak High) is not bad television but nor is it terribly good, for it slips easily through the crack in the programming floorboards, later to be gathered up and consigned to that receptacle labelled take-it-or-leave-it.
It lacks mood and, for all his musculature and macho posturings, Webb never successfully dons the cape of animal sexuality so essential to the execution of his role, nor does the torrid sensuality which must have marked their encounters light up the screen.
I'm not campaigning here for close-ups of Webb's bouncing and thrusting bare rump but their affair as presented is, finally, sanitised.
It requires more than a combination of three-day beard growth, bulging biceps and black lace bra to convey the searing passion that Carter must have felt for her to cross the line, that which divides the regulation-conscious prison guard she is at the outset from the fugitive she becomes.
It's mood and tension which are missing from One Way Ticket.
It entertains on that primary level with which television audiences are so familiar and, in the large, accept as their lot. But it could have been so much more.

This is a short blurb from 1991 about Rachel. The article is from a Queensland Paper.

Model move MELBOURNE: Model Rachel Blakely, dubbed the Face of the Nineties, has joined the cast of long-running Australian soap Neighbours.
