The last TV show I watched was "The Nanny" and I found it hillarious.
However I´m adicted to Bollywood movies lately....

I've begun to watch The Big Bang Theory. Some Trekker fans introduced me to the show. It is pretty funny and has a lot of fannish inside jokes.

A couple days ago I saw a post-apocalyptic movie based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy The Road.

"The Dark Ages". It's not about my early life (surprised?) The period between the Roman Empire and the Renaissance. It's not a bad presentation.

I just saw Iron Man 2 (which I loved, by the way) which prompted me to come home and re-watch Iron Man.

Hey roxyboy, what did you think of "The Road"? I'm planning to see the movie, but haven't yet. However, I did read the book, through a bookclub of mine. I can't say it was a great "upper" but it was an incredible discussionary topic. Something so raw, and basic, does force you to confront your truth. I'm sure the movie will be very dark, though...

Thanks, Karen

"City of Fear"....early Vince Edwards (before he became Ben Casey). The film lovingly can be called "Pulp Paranormal"

Not a classic. Virtues, some. Cinematography by Lucien Ballard and a great jazzy soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith. There is particularly extensive on-location shooting in and around Los Angeles. As for the plot - the Vince Edwards character is carrying something radioactive that would destroy all of Los Angeles. He mistakenly thought it was a million dollars worth of Horse. And he spent the film trying to open this cannister so he could sell the drug. Uncomfortable with two elements, why they would keep something so deadly and radioactive in just a steel container (needed lead shielding as we, the audience, are told...but the contaminiation of everyone who does come into contact with the canister does contribute to the plotline). And, why this radioactive material was going to be used on convicts in San Quentin.
